Europas event awards ‘Best Blockchain Startup’ to Credits

Blockchain platform provider Credits has won the ‘best blockchain startup’ award during the annual award show for Europe’s hottest tech startups - 'Europas'.

Receiving the award, Eric Benz, COO and co-founder of Credits said, “Credits is delighted to be recognized as ‘Best Blockchain Startup’ at this year’s The Europas. Distributed ledger technology is giving rise to many startups focused on developing applications on the blockchain. Credits is one of the very few blockchain infrastructure companies providing an enterprise-grade platform upon which these apps can be built.”

The company blog said that launching its Blockchain-as-a-Service in April 2016 and recently announcing a partnership with Skyscape Cloud Services to deliver blockchain services to the UK public sector, Credits has successfully worked with the Isle of Man Government and central securities depositories on blockchain use cases.

The competitors for ‘Best Blockchain Startup’ award were Clearmatics, EverLedger, Provenance, Slock.it, Stampery, Setl, Traminix and SatoshiPay.

The speakers at the award function included Dave Mcclure, founding partner of 500 startups; Julia Hartz, co-founder, and CEO of Eventbrite; Lesley Eccles, co-founder of FanDuel; Jonathan McDonald, founder of Thought Expansion Network among others.

Founded in 2009, Europas is run by Mike Butcher. Apart from concentrating on the newest companies on the scene, Europas also brings together the mid and late stage technology startups, as well as leading investors and media in the EMEA region. It’s a genuine, editorially driven, independent awards, judged by the community itself.

Credits is a blockchain platform provider offering a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) with tools for building secure and scalable blockchains to power enterprise applications.
