“This app will now be the only officially supported Poloniex app in the App Store and Play Store,” the announcement reads. “Our first order of business was to enable trading (on iOS) so you can experience the full benefit of Poloniex from wherever you are.”
Users will need to generate an API key on the desktop site to trade on mobile.
Poloniex also revealed its “big plans” for the app, which includes improved user verification through mobile devices.
Earlier this year, Poloniex was acquired by blockchain payments startup Circle. Last month, Circle announced “Asset Framework” – an approach to understanding each asset’s potential. It said that the framework would help “prioritize new listings according to the opportunity they present for Poloniex customers.”
