The brilliant minds of the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit will be once again tested by a possible serial killer in “Criminal Minds” season 14 episode 9. This time, it appears that the common denominator in the victimology will not be hard to determine.
In the fans’ weekly dose of serial killers and creeps, “Criminal Minds” season 14 episode 9 will be focusing on a case that will also seemingly force Lewis (Aisha Tyler) to reconnect from someone in the past. So far, the only available teasers for the upcoming episode are a brief promo video and the episode synopsis.
The “Criminal Minds” season 14 episode 9 official synopsis does not leave much to the imagination. The BAU will be requested to look into a possible serial killing case. However, the BAU’s presence does not seem like requested by the local law enforcement agencies.
It also appears like this is one of the cases where the BAU will have to, first, prove that a serial killer is on the loose. In the beginning, the only substantial clues they have is the “alarming number of overdose deaths.” But what might convince them that this is a case for them is the fact that all the victims are “patients who just completed rehab.” At one point, Prentiss (Paget Brewster) says in the “Criminal Minds” season 14 episode 9 trailer, “Killing is his addiction.”
In the promo video, Lewis appears to be attending a speaking engagement at a state university when her arms are grabbed by a man. His identity is likely a major part of “Criminal Minds” season 14 episode 9.
However, the official synopsis does confirm that the BAU’s informant in “Criminal Minds” season 14 episode 9 is a “professor from Lewis’ past.” That description is still quite vague but the official promo video offers more as Lewis says on the phone, “He’s my ex-husband.”
Interestingly, fans will uncover more details about Lewis’ past in “Criminal Minds” season 14 episode 9, which is directed by no other than Aisha Tyler. The upcoming case will arrive after a two-week hiatus. This episode will be released on Wednesday, Dec. 5, at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
