LONDON, May 02, 2017 -- Coupa Software (NASDAQ:COUP), a leader in cloud-based spend management, today announced that leading UK sports fashion retailer, JD Sports Fashion plc (“JD”), has selected Coupa’s cloud-based Procure-to-Pay (P2P) solution to integrate with its existing ERP system. By selecting Coupa, JD aims to offer an improved, simpler and more accessible P2P service to its store and office colleagues alike.
JD reviewed its existing indirect procure to pay process and sought a solution to reduce store ordering administration time, improve financial reporting and improve the ‘user experience’ of those sourcing goods and services. Following a comprehensive market review, Coupa was chosen after demonstrating the transparency, mobility and ease-of-use of its solution. Furthermore, the adeptness of Coupa’s P2P solution and its ability to integrate with its existing ERP system was a crucial factor that led to JD’s selection.
Coupa’s P2P solution provides management with greater visibility of expenditures, and embeds budgeting control within a user-friendly ordering and approval process. This enables quicker approval time, ensuring the correct products are ordered at the correct time and at the correct price. Coupa’s solution enables business to digitise their spend by facilitating a highly automated sourcing and procurement process.
“We are pleased to be mobilising with Coupa and are confident that the Coupa P2P solution will be warmly received by our colleagues and suppliers alike. Our number one priority is to make ordering indirect goods and services quicker and easier for our stores,” said Neil Bradford, head of procurement at JD Sports. “By utilising the Coupa solution, we hope to achieve a reduction of more than 80 percent on the time our stores spend on indirect stock ordering and administration. Providing a consumerised P2P solution is integral to enabling our business to source in the fast, flexible and transparent manner that our domestic and international growth demands.”
Headquartered in Bury, United Kingdom, JD Sports Fashion plc is the leading multi channel retailer and distributor of branded sportswear and fashion, with more than 900 stores.
Alex Kleiner, general manager of EMEA at Coupa, emphasised that by selecting Coupa, JD Sports is providing its colleagues with a more efficient way of ordering goods and services, saving time and cost whilst gaining greater control over the spending process.
“The fact that a retailer with such a strong high street presence as JD has chosen Coupa is a testament to the strength of our P2P solution. We’re looking forward to supporting JD and ensuring that they have a solid foundation in place as they continue to grow their business,” Kleiner said. “JD will have better visibility into budget and control so they can see what they are spending on and where. We’re hugely excited to have JD joining the Coupa family here in Europe.”
