ConsenSys, adChain partner to develop blockchain solution for online advertising

ConsenSys, a production studio building decentralized applications for blockchain ecosystems, has partnered with blockchain-based digital advertising company adChain in order to develop an industry-first blockchain solution for the online advertising industry.

The partnership will bring blockchain’s capability to transform the digital advertising sector as the technology can provide transparency into the supply chain using a shared ledger which in turn provides an audit trail.

“There is tremendous value and disruption potential of this technology beyond fintech. The development of smart contract-based applications in digital advertising is an ideal use case for blockchain. We’ve been iterating on the adChain blockchain implementation for almost a year and believe adChain will significantly change the way advertisers and publishers operate their supply chains to exchange ad impressions,” Joseph Lubin, founder, ConsenSys, said.

Apart from advertisement delivery verification, blockchain provides solutions to a universal data set and common language everyone understands and trusts. By doing so, blockchain becomes the single source of truth that all participants can access to work together and eliminate fraud.

Founded by advertising experts, Los Angeles-based adChain is also hosting workshop series, Xlabs, to educate developers on blockchain development. With this, developers will have access to a set of APIs and tools to build decentralized applications (DApps) on the adChain blockchain.
