Commodities reversal energizes emerging markets

The commodities rebound from lows in August is encouraging, especially for Emerging Markets.  The question is whether this broad rebound is indicative of the commodities rout being over. While this recent turnaround in commodities may seem like the bottom to the never-ending commodity bust do not be so quick to jump to conclusions. There are still dozens of factors affecting commodity prices at play ranging from the strength of the dollar and U.S. interest rates to slowing global growth and  global trade.

"This past week may seem like the light in the endless dark tunnel of commodities however a couple positive days are not significant evidence to call for the end of the retreat that brought commodities to 16 year lows. For this commodity decline to truly reverse, fundamental factors driving this collapse must change", says Voya Global.
