Coinify And iSignthis Partnership Enables Instant Bitcoin Purchases Via Card

The strategic partnership between Coinify and iSignthis Ltd will deliver service commencement of a “new global product” that connects blockchain payments, KYC identity and credit cards.

Coinify is the leading blockchain service provider with 3-digit growth rate, while iSignthis is fintech industry’s innovative KYC compliance service provider. The companies announced a partnership agreement in October last year that marked a major step taken towards mainstreaming bitcoin adoption.

“We are delighted to be working with Coinify on such an significant application of the blockchain”, said  N J (John) Karantzis, CEO and Managing Director of iSignthis. “Coinify brings a solid understanding of the KYC requirements to bring digital currency to industry at large, employed on the highest standards, together with a very effective anti-money laundering programme.”

The new payment product will expand the reach of Coinify Trade platform internationally, allow instant bitcoin purchases on the platform and support majority of the credit card types. Users will be able to benefit from the AML/CTF regulations for customer due diligence practices that have been adopted.

Coinify Trade will start accepting MasterCard and VISA credit cards issued outside the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), including those not supporting 3D Secure.

Coinify can now offer even stronger product, both in terms of usability and accessibility. I can see a lot of opportunities coming from the expansion of Trade services beyond the SEPA space, meaning that now both, the payment processing and the trading parts of our platform, are globally available”, said  Coinify CEO and Co-Founder, Mark Højgaard.

The announcement follows Coinify’s recent partnership with Hong Kong-based payment service provider iPayDNA, to bring advanced blockchain payments to the merchants residing in the Asia Pacific region. In addition, Coinify also announced that it working on a new deal with DigixGlobal that aims to allow users to use DGX gold backed tokens for payments in exchange for merchant goods and services through Coinify.
