Lack of workable cities offering jobs with affordable accommodations is forcing people to stay further away from their places of work, leading to ever-increasing commute time.

While the chart only shows US data, it is a far major problem in developing countries. Governments need to spend on infrastructure but can it be done with so much of debt hanging already?
