CHAIN-FINANCE To Hold Blockchain-Finance Workshop In March

CHAIN-FINANCE, a provider of news, research and workshops on blockchain and distributed ledger technologies, has announced its first Blockchain-Finance Workshop “How Can Blockchain Technology Improve Credit Markets?” in London on March 16, 2016 that aims to explore how blockchain technology can be used in finance to improve Credit Markets, AllCoinsNews reported.

The event will be held at Rainmaking Loft London – International House. 1 St Katharine’s Way. London E1W 1UN GB. It is being organized by Merkle Tree Limited.

Blockchain technology is being considered as the next big thing since the internet and companies and financial institutions are investing billions of dollars to explore relevant use cases. CHAIN-FINANCE noted that in January alone more than $100 million was raised to finance blockchain companies.

The event will examine the current structure and organization of Credit Markets, followed by an assessment of the known problems and challenges faced by that market. It will try to understand the various mutations of blockchain technology along with its inherent features such as permanent state of the data, resilience from attack, shared ledger attributes, ability to program financial instruments.

Further, it will also look at the application of different blockchain technologies in the financial industry and how each one may compete to solve the same issues.

“We want to keep you up-to-date with this growing industry and bring you up close with the best in the industry who are at the cutting edge of this technology and for you to hear it from them about what problems this technology can solve”, the event page reads.

Daniel Adeyemi, co-author of “Using Blockchains to Issue & Trade Bonds More Effectively”; Dr. Hans Lombardo, Blockchain Journalist; George Hallam, Ethereum Foundation; Nick Williamson, Credits Vision; Nick Grove, NXT Foundation are expected to speak at the event.
