Series actor Freddy Rodriguez recently shared the title of “Bull” season 3’s premiere episode. Meanwhile, he also confirmed that they are back on set as the show is scheduled to return in September.
Rodriguez, who plays Trial Analysis Corporation’s (TAC) in-house counsel Benjamin "Benny" Colón, recently posted a photo of the first episode’s script on his Twitter page. The image shows that the “Bull” season 3 premiere is titled “The Ground Beneath Their Feet.”

The actor has also captioned his tweet “Season 3. Episode 1. Day 1. Let’s do this.” This confirms that the filming for “Bull” season 3 officially started on Wednesday. “The Ground Beneath Their Feet” was written by showrunner Glenn Gordon Caron and will be directed by Bethany Rooney, who both joined the production of the series in season 2.
Fans of the show will recall that the latest season had a major cliffhanger. “Bull” season 3 will pick up from the incident, where main protagonist Dr. Jason Bull (Michael Weatherly) suffered a heart attack. As a recap, Dr. Bull is the main guy running TAC, which specializes in providing scientific advice on what types of people a client should pick as jury members in a trial they are involved in.
In real life, surviving a heart attack normally restricts a patient from getting back to their usual routine. This could mean that TAC will have to operate without Dr. Bull’s expertise in several episodes of “Bull” season 3.
The fact that Dr. Bull will survive his heart attack and will still be alive in “Bull” season 3 should be enough for fans. It will be interesting to see how the remaining characters will navigate without the main protagonist, as Caron previously confirmed there will be new cases that TAC will handle.
Showrunner Glenn Gordon Caron also teased that the heart attack might have a personal impact on Dr. Bull that will be manifested in “Bull” season 3. In an interview with TV Insider, Caron said, “I would think when you go through something as momentous as that, it has an enormous impact on your life and on your thinking and all of that. So I’d be curious to see how it changes him, if it changes him at all.”
CBS renewed Bull for another installment last April. Fans will have to wait for a few months for the next episode as “Bull” season 3 is set to premiere on Monday, Sept. 24, at 10 p.m. ET.
