Briferendum Series: Who in EU wants UK and who doesn’t?

Not everyone likes Britain. France has said they will embrace the bankers choosing to leave London after British exit from the Union, whereas Ireland has expressed its strong desire for UK to stay. Even Germany at the sake of the Union expressed feelings for UK to stay in the Union.

Let’s see, who wants UK in the Union (based on polls by Lord Ashcroft Polls),

  • Countries in EU, with People voting “Yes to UK” by 70% or more clubs include Lithuania, Malta, Portugal, Ireland, Romania and Spain.

 

  • 60% and above groups include, Bulgaria, Italy, Poland, Estonia, Hungary and Slovakia.

 

  • 55% and above league includes, Germany, Latvia, Denmark, Sweden and Luxembourg (54%).

 

  • Countries who are tied to 50%, are Finland, France and Greece.

All in all, 17 of 27 EU countries want UK in the Union, whereas 3 are tied in their opinion.

  • Countries who doesn’t want UK include, Belgium, Croatia, Netherlands, Slovenia, Austria, Czech Republic and Cyprus.

Britain doesn’t seem very popular in the Union.
