UK’s largest bookmaker William Hill has published its latest offering odds at 2/9 on the UK referendum on membership in the European Union. This basically means that bookmaker is pricing 81 percent chance that the UK will stay in the European Union. Odds for an exit is priced at 3/1, which means there is one chance in four that the UK will move out of the European Union. William Hill spokesman Graham Sharpe said, "66 percent of all the money gambled with William Hill on the outcome has been for Remain with bets of up to £100,000 staked, but 69 percent of all individual bets placed have been for Leave.”
Odds are varying at different bookmakers but all are predicting the same that Britain will remain inside the European Union. Ladbrokes has been offering 1/4 in favor of the ‘Remain’, which means a chance of 76 percent.
According to bookmakers, UK’s referendum on membership in the European Union is the biggest non-sporting bookmaking event in history.
