Many questions needed to be answered in this month’s manga installment. While it provided small updates on some aspects of the arc, it introduced an entirely new list of mysteries, especially concerning the supporting characters. But what is quite obvious for “Boruto” chapter 40 are two battles: Kawaki and Team 7 against Boro while Koji Kashin confronts Jigen.
'Boruto' chapter 40 prediction: Kawaki, Team 7 fights Boro; Koji confronts Jigen
Kawaki wants to prove to Shikamaru that he is not an enemy, so he decides to do the ultimate thing that could demonstrate that, which is saving Naruto. However, they have to face Boro in “Boruto” chapter 40 before even accomplishing that.
Most fans are betting that Team 7 and Kawaki are no match to Boro. Even Kawaki pointed it out that Boro is even worse than Jigen in some ways. So if the protagonists are going to save the Seventh Hokage in “Boruto” chapter 40, it is less likely because they defeated Boro. The fact that there is very little information known about Boro makes him an even more dangerous opponent.
The easy way out for Team 7 and Kawaki is to get reinforcements in “Boruto” chapter 40. But other than Sasuke, no one else can reach the foreign dimension making the next installment even more unpredictable.
Meanwhile, “Boruto” chapter 40 could also dedicate more panels for Koji Kashin. The latest installment has finally made it clear that he is not loyal to Jigen and wants to take him out. Koji appears to be heading to the Kara hideout, and he only has two full days to defeat Jigen before he fully recuperates possibly.
Both characters have demonstrated immense powers even when facing high-ranking ninjas from Konohagakure. With Jigen still in recovery, it levels the playing field for Koji in “Boruto” chapter 40.
'Boruto' chapter 40 release date; Chapter 39 recap
Before speculating about “Boruto” chapter 40, some details from chapter 39 deserve to be revisited. For one, the mystery around the real identity of Koji remains, and it is now more mysterious than ever. He seems confident that he can defeat Jigen before his chakra tank is fully recharged. But he was also very certain that Naruto and Sasuke cannot defeat Jigen together.
Manga fans have an entire month to re-examine chapter 39 and build theories for the next installments. “Boruto” chapter 40 will be released on Nov. 20.
