A new arc begins in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 70, and it is focused on Metal Lee. He will be training to use a powerful technique and the pressure of the task forces him to deal with his anxiety.
According to reports about the synopsis of “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 70, the upcoming anime installment is titled “The Opposing Side of Anxiety.” The preview for the next episode shows that it is going to be Metal Lee who will be dealing with anxiety.
In the “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 70 preview, Rock Lee is seen with Metal Lee as they prepare for the latter’s training. Metal Lee will be specifically practicing the Eight Gates taijutsu, which Rock Lee also referred to as the “ultimate technique.”
Given the level of power that the Eight Gates technique has, fans can only expect that the training is going to be extremely challenging for Metal Lee. But Rock Lee also points out in the “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 70 preview that mastering the Eight Gates is not simply about “enduring the harshest training.” Rock Lee warns Metal Lee that learning the technique will shake him to his core.
In the preview, Metal Lee can also be heard being quite hesitant once his father asks him if he is ready to begin the training. But, regardless, it seems like nothing will stop this from happening. Fans will also be delighted to see that Might Guy will make an appearance in “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 70. Might Guy’s inclusion in the upcoming episode is just fitting given that the younger Lee is about to learn the Eight Gates — a technique which Rock Lee learned from Might Guy.
In terms of battling anxiety amid the pressure of training, not much is shown in the “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 70 preview. However, the official synopsis says more.
According to the teaser, Metal Lee will be using a certain item that he thinks will help him manage his anxiety. But the said item will be useless, forcing his father to suggest that they stop the training. “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” episode 70 will be airing on Aug. 23.
