The Bank of Korea's (BoK) monetary policy decision will be a close call, but rates are likely to remain on hold.
Although consumer spending and business sentiment have picked up, exports have continued to struggle, and remain the biggest risk to the economic outlook.
But one factor which will weigh heavily on the BoK's thinking is Korea's high debt burden, as low interest rates have already led to an acceleration in household credit growth recently.
