MIAMI, April 25, 2017 -- The Weinbach Group, a Miami ad agency nationally-known as a leading healthcare marketing firm, was nominated for the BOMA Awards’ “Advertising Agency of the Year.” The BOMA Awards, created and hosted by the Black Owned Media Alliance, recognize agencies, businesses, and individuals who make a positive impact in South Florida’s black community. In its work as the healthcare advertising agency for local organizations in the health, medicine, insurance, and bioscience sector, The Weinbach Group has placed millions of dollars of advertising in media outlets that reach African-American audiences.
"My dad started our company three decades ago as a Miami public relations firm, and over the course of the past thirty years, we have always sought to communicate on behalf of our clients in the most targeted, appropriate media outlets possible,” said Daniel Weinbach, president and CEO of The Weinbach Group. “That means we rely on South Florida’s black-owned magazines, newspapers, radio stations, and TV outlets as vital partners in effectively doing our job.”
BOMA created its awards program in 2015 to “educate media buyers and advertisers.” Since the program’s inception, organizations throughout South Florida have participated in BOMA’s symposiums, forging new relationships that have benefitted the African American community.
“The BOMA Awards is a confirmation of the importance and significance of black owned media in South Florida,” said BOMA President, Dexter Bridgman, in a recent interview. “We will continue to push for equality in media spending by engaging and educating the decision makers in our industry.”
The Weinbach Group served as agency of record for Jackson Health System and currently works with Be Strong International, a not-for-profit that serves diverse populations, including the black community. The Miami ad agency also placed advertising in black-owned media on behalf of its longstanding client, Florida Memorial University.
The BOMA Awards will be announced on April 26, 2017 at a lunch reception.
