“Better Call Saul’ season 5 is a spinoff of the popular series “Breaking Bad” that ended in 2013 after airing just five seasons. The drama gained a lot of followers as well, and they are now waiting for the next installment as the show is already approaching the timeline from where the story was based on.

“Better Call Saul” season 5 is said to be arriving at the point where Jimmy McGill will fully transform to his Saul Goodman persona, so the fans are waiting for this to happen. In the previous season’s finale, Bob Odenkirk (Jimmy McGill) is slowly turning into an immoral guy by becoming a type of lawyer that will side with the criminals.

The usually caring and gentleman McGill will now channel a different aura as becoming Saul, which he plays in “Breaking Bad” means he will be one of those corrupt lawyers who will do anything for money, even if it means hurting people around him including his friends and loved ones. With what will happen in “Better Call Saul” season 5, lead actor Odenkirk described the fifth installment as epic and shattering.

“It’s the best season we’ve ever done, it’s going to blow your mind, and I’m not kidding about either of those things,” he told Deadline a few weeks ago. “It’s f****ng awesome. I can’t wait for people to see it. It’s just shattering in every direction, and I love it.”

Is the crossover with “Breaking Bad” finally happening?

Fans were clamoring for the return of “Breaking Bad,” but it did not happen; thus, when the possibility of a crossover through “Better Call Saul” season 5, everyone was delighted. The followers of the original drama want to see Walt (Bryan Cranston) and Jesse (Aaron Paul) back on screen, and since Jimmy is becoming Saul already, the crossover is a high possibility.

Besides, the crossover was somehow confirmed by “Better Call Saul” season 5’s executive producer Vince Gilligan during the Comic-Con International that was held last year. When he was asked about Walt and Jesse’s appearing in the drama, he told TV Insider, "We'd be sorely remiss if these characters didn't appear on the show before it ended."

The end of “Better Call Saul”

There is a rumor that “Better Call Saul” season 5 is the last since from the beginning, the producers clearly stated that they do not want the drama to surpass the original “Breaking Bad” in terms of the number of seasons it aired. In any case, the next installment of this Bob Odenkirk’s-starrer drama has no exact release date yet, but it may arrive soon or early 2020 since filming has wrapped up already.
