BTS V: Singer’s solo tracks trend after his appearance at MTV’s VMAs

BTS V has gained new fans after he appeared at the recently concluded MTV Video Music Awards that was held on Aug. 31. Together with the six other BTS members, he performed “Dynamite” for one of the stages of the event.

The group’s performance was widely praised and their explosive state was talked about not just by fans but by other celebrities and popular personalities around the world as well. BTS’ performance was capped with the team winning in the Best Pop category, beating the likes of Ariana Grande, Justin Bieber, Jonas Brothers, Taylor Swift and Lady Gaga.

V’s stage performance got the most attention

As per Allkpop, BTS V got the most attention during their MTV VMA stage. As a result, his solo songs have been surging back on the music charts as renewed interest led people to look for his songs.

It was added that for those who are not familiar yet with BTS or Kpop, some viewers in many parts of the world simply referred to BTS V as the “guy in a blue suit.” People have described him this way since they obviously do not know his name yet.

What attracted the viewers to BTS V was his smooth dance steps, clear vocals and overall charisma that radiates in his moves and voice. He was really suave and people can’t help but be in awe with his appearance and talents.

Worldwide trend featuring Kim Taehyung

BTS V trended worldwide on various social media and their local equivalents such as Japan’s Twipple. He is also on Google trends with fans putting hashtags like #KimTaehyung #theguyinbluesuit and more.

At any rate, BTS V’s solo tracks that include “Inner Child” and “Sweet Night” have jumped back on the music charts. On the US iTunes, there has been a massive surge just after the awards ceremony.

Meanwhile, BTS as a group also made history on Billboard after “Dynamite” reached no. 1. This feat made the boy group the first-ever Korean to place first at the Hot 100 list. Billboard reported that this chart list the most popular songs in the U.S. It is updated every week and the basis for the ranking includes sales data, streaming performance, and the number of radio broadcasts.
