ARLINGTON, Va., Dec. 17, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Associa employees from Virginia based Community Management Corporation (CMC) and Select Community Services (SCS) joined friends and family to honor veterans at the annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.
About 80 Associa CMC and SCS representatives spent the morning of Saturday, December 12 alongside 70,000 volunteers who placed more than 240,000 wreaths at the gravesites of fallen U.S. soldiers buried at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia as part of Wreaths Across America.
"It was a rewarding experience this holiday season for our Associa family to assist with the placing of wreaths on Arlington graves and support the Wreaths Across America mission of Remember. Honor. Teach," said Associa CMC and SCS President Nicholas Mazzarella.
Wreaths Across America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded to continue and expand the annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, begun by Maine businessman Morrill Worcester in 1992. This year, more than 901,000 remembrance wreaths were placed in over 1,100 locations nationwide.
