Colorado Springs, CO, March 27, 2018 -- Associa, the industry’s largest community management company, has allocated $40,000 through their national nonprofit organization, Associa Cares, to help the residents of the recent fire at Associa Colorado managed property, Sunstone Townhomes.
The Colorado Springs Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the Sunstone Townhomes on the southeast side of the city late Monday afternoon. The massive three-alarm fire moved quickly, destroying up to 20 units and surrounding areas.
“We are extremely thankful for the Colorado Springs Fire Department’s quick response and partnership of the Red Cross. Associa Cares is available to provide assistance for those residents who have damage to their units and have been displaced by this devastating event,” stated Andrew Fortin, Associa Cares president. “Fire crews believe more than 40 people have been displaced. These funds will be available to help those residents find shelter and aid in their time of need.”
