Asian markets mixed, gold stable at $1,232

All the major Asian indices were trading on a mixed note on Wednesday. On the other side gold and silver were trading marginally higher. Gold was trading around $1,232 mark while silver was trading around $17.68 mark.

Japan’s Nikkei was trading around 0.25 percent higher at 19,956 points.

Hong Kong’s Hang seng was trading 0.02 percent higher at 23,337 points.

India’s NSE Nifty was trading around 0.02 percent higher at 8,769.70 points and BSE Sensex was trading at 0.02 percent lower at 28,329 points. RBI will release repo as well as reverse repo rate today.

Australia’s S&P ASX200 was trading around 0.53 percent higher at 5,651 marks.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 0.58 percent lower at 2,063 points.

Shanghai composite index to open down 0.2 pct at 3,148.09 points and China's CSI300 index to open down 0.1 pct at 3,361.78 points.
