Asian markets in red, gold slips below $1,270 mark

Most Asian indices were trading on a negative note on Thursday. Gold was trading around $1,266 mark and silver was trading around $17.57 marks.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 0.24 percent higher at 2,018.36 points.

Tokyo's Nikkei was trading 0.51 percent lower at 17,303.50 points.

Shanghai composite index to open down 0.1 pct at 3,112.60 points and China's csi300 index to open down 0.1 pct at 3,351.46 points.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng was trading 1.25 percent lower at 23,034.26 points.

Australia's S&P/ASX 200 was trading 0.78 percent lower at 5,318.10 points.

Taiwan stocks open flat at 9,363.90 points.
