Asian markets in red, gold rises by 1 pct to $1,257

All the major Asian indices were trading on a lower note on the start of a new trading week on Monday. Gold was trading around $1,257 mark while silver was trading around $17.84 marks.

Japan’s Nikkei was trading around 1.52 percent lower at 18,969 points.

Hong Kong’s Hang seng was trading 0.14 percent lower at 24,325 points.

Australia’s S&P ASX200 was trading around 0.26 percent lower at 5,738 marks.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 0.56 percent lower at 2,156 points.

Shanghai composite index to open flat at 3,268.92 points and China's CSI300 index to open flat at 3,488.76 points.

Taiwan’s market was trading 0.22 percent lower at 9,881.29 points.

India’s NSE Nifty was trading around 0.52 percent lower at 9,054.20 points and BSE Sensex was trading at 0.27 percent lower at 29,342.56 points.
