Asian markets in green after hawkish comments from Fed chair Yellen, gold flat at $1,225

All the major Asian indices were trading on a higher note on Wednesday. Gold and silver were trading in narrow range in early hours of Asia. Gold was trading around $1,225 mark while silver was trading around $17.90 marks.

Fed's Yellen says Fed committee wants to rely on short term interest rates as much as possible. She added cannot say whether rate increase will come in March or June.

Japan’s Nikkei was trading around 1.12 percent higher at 19,455 points.

Hong Kong’s Hang seng was trading 1.24 percent higher at 23,995 points.

India’s NSE Nifty was trading around 0.07 percent lower at 8,786.70 points and BSE Sensex was trading at 0.08 percent lower at 28,319 points.

Australia’s S&P ASX200 was trading around 0.92 percent higher at 5,806 marks.

South Korea’s Kospi was trading 0.37 percent higher at 2,082 points.

Shanghai composite index to open down 0.1 pct at 3,215.46 points and China's CSI300 index to open flat at 3,435.39 points.
