‘Arrow’ Season 5, Episode 18 Spoilers: “Disbanded” – Oliver Shocks Allies with Decision to Enlist Russian Mafia’s Help in Defeating Prometheus

‘Arrow’ season 5’s episode 18, titled “Disbanded,” will follow Oliver as he shocks his allies John Diggle and Felicity Smoak for his decision to call on the Russian mafia organization Solntsevskaya Bratva for help in defeating his enemy Prometheus.

The synopsis for episode 18 posted on TV Guide reads, “Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) are shocked by Oliver's (Stephen Amell) decision to call on the Bratva to help take down Prometheus (Josh Segarra).

Concerned the Bratva may overstep, Diggle has a hard conversation with Oliver about what happens if things go south. Meanwhile, Felicity learns something shocking at Helix.”

Oliver may not be on the same boat as his allies Diggle and Felicity when he reveals his decision to join together with Bratva for assistance in taking on Prometheus. This may be Oliver’s actual point of desperation after Adrian Chase a.k.a. Prometheus managed to get him to admit his darkest secret. According to Comicbook.com, Prometheus pushed Oliver’s mental and physical capabilities to the limits but successfully got him to admit that he actually enjoyed killing people.

Diggle is set on confronting Oliver about this but things will not turn out too well for the two. It will be interesting to see how the allies come to terms with this choice and if they will be forced to break up as a bitter consequence. It will also be interesting to see if Bratva will end up fighting together with Oliver for their personal gain.

In addition to the issues hounding Team Arrow, Felicity is set to discover something equally shocking over at Helix.

‘Arrow’ season 5’s episode 18, titled “Disbanded,” is scheduled to air on March 29, 2017 on The CW. It was directed by JJ Makaro and written by Rebecca Bellotto. It will be followed by episode 19, titled "Dangerous Liaisons," scheduled to be released on April 26.
