Irish fintech startup Plynk announced that it has raised €725,000 in seed funding from various sources including Enterprise Ireland, NDRC and Delta Partners, the Irish Times stated.
According to the reports by Irish Times, Plynk that created Europe’s first money-messaging app also saw other funding from venture capital firm Delta, Enterprise Ireland, NDRC and angel investors.
Plynk’s app allows users to open payment accounts, get a card and make payments in euro. It plans to add other currencies in the future.
The recent funding has allowed Plynk to expand its team, welcoming Sonia Flynn, international VP at SoundCloud, and Peter Oakes, a former director of enforcement and financial crime at the Central Bank of Ireland, as its strategic advisors. The company plans to add physical cards for its users in the near future.
