I studied for a BA degree in English at Trinity Hall Cambridge University from 2001-04, then studied an MA in Film Studies at Northumbria University from 2004-05. From 2006-18 I worked as a Lecturer in Further Education at Newcastle Sixth Form College, teaching English Literature, English Language, English Language & Literature and Communication and Culture among other courses. I began a 3-year funded PhD studentship at Northumbria in October 2018, conducting a history and analysis of the BBC's drama series "Play for Today".
