The Xiaomi Mi A2, currently known as Mi 6X in China, will reportedly have its global release this year. Xiaomi is expected to launch it in three different colors and with three storage options.
A supposed listing for the Xiaomi Mi A2 was leaked recently, MySmartPrice first reported. The listing screenshot shows that the Xiaomi Mi A2 will be sold in gold, blue and black. Meanwhile, the standard random access memory is 4GB, which can be paired with a choice of the 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage options. A heftier configuration will be sold, featuring a 6GB RAM and a 128GB internal drive.
The image only shows that the device is due for launch in Spain, but several reports are certain that the smartphone will be released in other parts of the world as well. Its predecessor device was also first launched in China and labeled Mi 5X. It was later brought to other regions and officially called the Mi A1. This precedent led many to believe that Xiaomi will apply the same strategy with the Mi 6X, thus, the international launch of the Xiaomi Mi A2.
There are no major changes expected to be seen in the Xiaomi Mi A2 from the specifications and features found on the Mi 6X. The only difference anticipated in the upcoming device is the use of the stock Android UI due to it being in the Android One program.
If Xiaomi does not have huge surprises for the global counterpart of the Mi 6X, the Xiaomi Mi A2 is likely to sport a 5.99-inch IPS LCD screen. The same specs are likely in order, including an 18:9 aspect ratio and a full HD+ or 2,160 x 1,080-pixel resolution.
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset (clocked at 2.2 GHz) is expected to power the Xiaomi Mi A2, along with a 3,010-mAh battery pack. Meanwhile, it is also not surprising if the upcoming device comes with a dual camera setup on the rear, pairing 12MP and 20MP lenses, while another 20MP camera is installed on the front for high-quality selfies.
There have also been rumors that the Xiaomi Mi A2 will be unveiled in an exclusive event on July 25 in Spain.
