‘Westworld’ season 2 is set to return on HBO with answers as well as bigger aspects of the park. Meanwhile, the series’ stars admitted their ignorance of the numerous plot twists that went on in season 1.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, stars Luke Hemsworth and Jeffrey Wright revealed the difference between season1 with the upcoming season 2 of HBO’s latest popular science-fiction western-thriller television series during an appearance at the Dubai International Film Festival.

Wright revealed, “The first season is creating order… The second season is mayhem and chaos.” He continued, “There are political implications and overtones [in Westworld]; there is this patriarchal structure and this corporate structure around it that is really vulnerable now. It is the target of the revolution.”

Hemsworth addressed the new theme park teased during season 1’s finale episode saying, “The samurai world is really attractive, I love that part of the idea… The first season was just an intro, a prequel. The world is going to obviously get a lot bigger somehow.”

Wright plays Bernard Lowe, Head of the Westworld Programming Division and creator of hosts who is revealed to be a host himself. Hemsworth plays Ashley Stubbs, the head of Westworld security who is in-charge of monitoring host and human interactions. It was revealed that Hemsworth originally auditioned for the role of Teddy Flood, who is played by James Marsden.

The actors revealed that they were intentionally left in the dark about the series’ shocking twists. According to We Got This Covered, Jimmi Simpson admitted, “We were all just speculating… Shannon [Woodward] and Evan [Rachel Wood] seemed to talk the most and have the most in depth reasons for everything. Half the time they’d be totally right, sometimes they’d be half-right and sometimes they’d be completely wrong.”

Wright admitted that he was the only one who knew about Bernard’s twist right after the pilot episode. He said, “I was a bit of a cheat, relative to everyone else, because I had prior knowledge… So everyone else was a little in the dark, and I did my best to keep them there. It wasn’t only until the reveals were made in the scripts that I kind of joined in on the text chain.”

‘Westworld’ season 2 was renewed on HBO last November 2016. It is expected to debut on the network sometime in 2018.
