WOODBURY, N.Y., Jan. 31, 2018 -- Vanderbilt Financial Group (“Vanderbilt”), the Sustainable Broker Dealer and RIA firm, is pleased to announce that 2017 was a year of record business growth. Vanderbilt’s focus on Impact investing through its online collaborative community, www.Impactu.me, was a key driver of the firm’s expansion.
Vanderbilt reconfirmed its commitment to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs include 17 goals focused on eradicating poverty, fighting inequality and tackling climate change by 2030. As the President of Entrepreneur’s Organization’s New York Chapter, President Steve Distante was named EO Global UN Ambassador to act as liaison and motivate entrepreneurs to integrate the SDGs into their businesses.
In November of 2017, Vanderbilt held its annual conference on Blue Ocean Strategy which served as a guide to all advisors who wish to take their business to new heights in 2018. The conference enlightened Vanderbilt’s team with the concept that instead of competing, advisors should seek “blue oceans” of new demand.
Chief Entrepreneurial Officer Stephen Distante appeared in the Investment News series on Impact Investing which was broadcast internationally. The panel discussion focused on the evolution of impact investing, its opportunities and challenges, and how financial advisors can craft meaningful conversations with their clients about all these ideas.
Lastly, the company reports significant expansion of operations and staff, adding 45 new financial representatives to the ranks. Vanderbilt now has locations in 19 different states including back office support on the East and West Coasts. A number of new independent representatives came onboard, and the company also welcomed several new advisors groups including Evans Group Financial Advisors, Empowered Investments, Gitterman Wealth Management, Centered Wealth, Rainbow Investment Solutions, Common Interests, and Greenvest.
According to CEO Stephen Distante, “Vanderbilt has also stood for the concept of aligning your business with core values that promote the wellbeing of society. We are proud to see that our influence has increased globally through our in person and online collaborations, and welcome the opportunity to continue to expand our footprint in the years to come.”
