PASADENA, Calif., Aug. 29, 2017 -- NextGate, a global leader in patient and provider identification, announced today the successful go-live of its Provider & Organization Registry at the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC), a leading, integrated academic medical and research facility in Upstate New York.
URMC is the latest organization to implement NextGate’s automated platform to aggregate, de-duplicate, and reconcile information from participating providers for a single source of reference, resulting in improved operational efficiency, physician satisfaction, and care team collaboration.
The NextGate Provider & Organization Registry brings URMC a centralized view of provider data across its clinical network and automates manual, time consuming processes in managing and updating the master provider information system.
“We are honored to support URMC with a seamless integration solution for accurate, real-time provider data to improve the quality, delivery and efficiency of care,” said Andy Aroditis, CEO of NextGate. “The availability of reliable provider data is a fundamental component in fostering effective communication and positive experiences among patients, physicians and staff.”
NextGate’s Provider & Organization Registry will provide:
- Information synchronization across URMC’s financial, clinical and credentialing systems.
- Data reconciliation of physician and provider information within the academic medical center’s seven source systems.
- A single source of reference for comprehensive demographic and credential information on providers, both individual and institutional.
- Automated updates of provider records to track specialties, locations, languages, hours, and ACO affiliation.
“URMC’s ability to drive positive outcomes in our community hinges on delivering high quality, well-coordinated care,” said Sally Deming, RHIT, Director of Data Integrity at URMC. “We believe NextGate’s provider data management tools will help to strengthen our collaboration and standardization resources across our enterprise and extend meaningful and accessible information to all our healthcare stakeholders throughout the care continuum.”
