Turkish consumer sentiment index falls sequentially in October

Turkish consumer confidence dropped in the month of October. The Turkish Statistical Institute showed that the consumer sentiment fell 3.4 percent sequentially to 57.3 from September’s 59.3. The financial situation expectation of household index in the coming 12 months period fell in the month. The index dropped 4.1 percent to 73.5 in October from prior month’s 76.7.

The general economic situation expectation index fell 2.4 percent to 72.7 in October. The index was at 74.6 in September. Meanwhile, the number of people unemployed expectation index also fell in the month. The index dropped 5.4 percent from 67.2 in September to 63.6 in October.

The probability of saving index rose in the month by 2.3 percent. The index rose from September’s 18.8 to 19.2 in October.
