Turkish consumer sentiment eases in January 2019

Turkish consumer sentiment eased in the month of January 2019. The seasonally adjusted consumer confidence index dropped 0.9 percent sequentially to 58.2 from December’s 58.7. The financial situation expectation of household index in the next 12 months period rose 2.4 percent to 77.1 in January from December’s 75.3.

Meanwhile, the general economic situation expectation index rose 0.6 percent sequentially to 76.5 from December’s 76. The number of people unemployed expectation index dropped 0.1 percent from December’s 60.91 to 60.86 in January.

The probability of saving index dropped 19.2 percent sequentially to 18.3 in January from December’s 22.7.
