Tom Cruise is allegedly prohibiting Nicole Kidman, his ex-wife, from attending their son Connor’s wedding. The 24-year-old is said to be marrying Silvia, an Italian lady who is also a Scientologist.
It appears that the lady is well-known within the Scientology church as she is even called the “Scientology Princess.” And now, she is set to marry the son of an influential figure in their church so it is expected that the occasion will be grand.
However, Radar Online reported that Connor Cruise’s mother, Nicole Kidman, is not going to be invited and Tom Cruise already barred her from attending. The actor reasoned that he does not want to spend time with a “suppressive person” and he is apparently referring to his ex-wife.
Narrating about the supposed ban on Nicole Kidman, the source reportedly told Radar, “Tom is behind this and what he wants is as good as law. Tom made the call and Connor followed.”
Sources also relayed that the “Mission Impossible” star really like Connor’s fiancee so he gave his 100 percent approval. The insider said, “Tom adores his future daughter-in-law and happy that his son is settling down with a fellow Scientologist.”
It was added that perhaps, another reason why Connor supported his father’s Tom Cruise’s decision not to invite his mom Nicole is because of their rumored conflict. In her interview with WHO magazine, the actress said that despite their separation and difference in religious beliefs she still loves her children.
“I’m very private about all that. I have to protect all those relationships. I know 150 percent that I would give up my life for my children because it’s what my purpose is,” she said. “They are able to make their own decisions. They have made choices to be Scientologists and as a mother, it’s my job to love them."
Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman called it quits in 2001 and their two adopted children, Isabella and Connor chose to stay with their dad. Thus, the kids were raised as Scientologists. Since her two children became adults, it is understood that the actress has not seen them and in fact, she did not attend Isabella’s wedding in 2015.
