‘Timeless Season 1, Episode 11 Spoilers: "The World's Columbian Exposition" – Flynn Takes Kidnapped Lucy to 1890s Chicago; Wyatt, Rufus Trapped

‘Timeless’ season 1’s episode 11, titled “The World's Columbian Exposition," is set to pick up after episode 10’s events after Flynn managed to kidnap Lucy. Flynn and Lucy will arrive in 1890s Chicago. Meanwhile, Wyatt and Rufus fall into a trap in their search for Lucy.

The synopsis for "The World's Columbian Exposition" posted on TV Guide reads, “Lucy (Abigail Spencer) is kidnapped by Flynn (Goran Visnjic) and taken to the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, and master illusionist Harry Houdini may be the only one who can save her. Wyatt (Matt Lanter) and Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) desperately search for Lucy, only to fall into a sinister trap.”

The fall finale, titled "The Capture of Benedict Arnold," saw Flynn successfully kidnapping Lucy and taking her on board the Mothership to disappear to a new timeline before Wyatt and Rufus could get to her.

During an interview with TV Line, executive producers Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan teased the incoming episode. When asked about where Flynn planned to take Lucy and what his motivations were for kidnapping her, Kripke replied, “I don’t know if I’m ready to spoil that. I know that Flynn is furious. Flynn really felt that he and Lucy were genuinely meant to be a team. He thought that they were destined to be one.”

Kripke continued, “When they reached a climactic moment where they had an opportunity to finally end Rittenhouse once and for all — or at least as far as Flynn thought — Lucy didn’t do it. So now Flynn finds himself doubting everything.”

He explained, “He doubts whether this journal is accurate. He begins to doubt whether he’s, ultimately, going to ally with Lucy. And if that all turns out to not be true, then it escalates the stakes of our show and makes it more dangerous, because now Lucy isn’t someone he’s trying to partner with. She’s expendable, collateral damage who gets in his way.”

Kripke also revealed that Wyatt and Lucy’s reunion will happen sooner rather than later saying, “We know which side our bread is buttered on. We will be getting the time team back together sooner rather than later.”

‘Timeless’ season 1’s episode 11, titled "The World's Columbian Exposition," is scheduled to air on NBC on January 16, 2017. It will be followed by episode 12, titled "The Murder of Jesse James," scheduled for January 23.
