“The Winds of Winter” is what fans of “A Song of Ice and Fire” novel series want from George RR Martin. They want the author to release the book already since it has been delayed many times before.
Latest promise of release
In the span of eight years since the fifth book in “ASOIAF” was released, the 71-year-old author, made a promise to publish the book at least three times already. This was why early this year, he said that he will not mention a time-frame anymore because he just keeps disappointing the fans who have been waiting for years. However, not long after saying, he will not say a date anymore, George RR Martin said in May that he will finish the book and vowed to release it next year.
“If I don’t have ‘THE WINDS OF WINTER’ in hand when I arrive in New Zealand for Worldcon, you have here my formal written permission to imprison me in a small cabin on White Island, overlooking that lake of sulfuric acid, until I’m done,” Martin wrote. “Just so long as the acrid fumes do not screw up my old DOS word processor, I’ll be fine.”
Experts say the author is releasing “TWOW” sooner
Experts stated that fans could be looking forward to a release this month. Express reported that fans analyzed the proof that Martin is publishing “The Winds of Winter” sooner than expected. They said that this is due to the things that HBO and the author have been posting on social media.
In particular, HBO posted “Winter is Coming” late last month and this stirred up rumors that “The Winds of Winter” is complete and will be on the bookstores on Christmas day. They said that it will be any day now when Martin will reveal the exact release date but it will make the fan’s holiday really more enjoyable. This is because something that they have been waiting for so long is coming.
Finally, on George RR Martin’s official website for his books, a new section that has the words "Next Publication" was created. It is believed that this is where the announcement for “The Winds of Winter” is set to be posted.
