“The Walking Dead” season 9 has a new preview, released by AMC on Oct. 1. The scenes are from the pilot episode titled “A New Beginning” and it shows Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his group rebuilding after defeating Negan and the Saviors 18 months ago.
This scene in the trailer shows a time jump, and with Rick’s guidance and leadership, they are rebuilding civilization after war finally ended. It is a peaceful time and the communities are also working together for a better world and future.
However, the preview has some bad news too. Comic Book notes that the clip reveals that someone has died too. The identity of the person is not clear but it happens when Rick Grimes goes to the Sanctuary and is excitedly greeted by the Saviors. But at one point, the hysteria dies down and then Daryl tells Laura that they just lost someone.
It is not certain who the person is but they also discover some scary graffiti on the wall that reads: “We are still Negan.” Daryl points out that the Survivors are actually getting more rebellious. Perhaps, this means trouble?
Meanwhile, it was already confirmed that Rick Grimes will only be seen in “The Walking Dead” season 9 pilot episode. The actor playing the character, Andrew Lincoln, is leaving the show so the story will reveal how he will depart.
The method of his exit is still a mystery but it was suggested that he may die at the hands of the Whisperers, who will be introduced in “The Walking Dead” season 9. They are survivors who dress like walkers so that they will not be detected by the walking dead. This also allows them to walk around the dead and be safe.
According to TV Guide, the Whisperers are also featured in the “TWD” comics and this is the first time that they will appear on the show. “The Walking Dead” season 9 is set to premiere on Oct. 7 at 9 p.m. on AMC.
