‘The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods’ episode 23 recap
Derieri arrives at where Elizabeth and the alliance are located. However, she is soon followed by Estarossa who is pleasantly surprised to find Elizabeth present as well.
Estarossa imprisons the two with Evil Hound but Elizabeth also repels the demon with her Ark attack. The two Archangels, Sariel and Tarmiel, arrive and attacks Estarossa who remains unharmed but counters with Killing Saucers wounding the two members of the Goddess clan.
Bent on getting their revenge on Estarossa for killing Mael 3,000 years ago, the two Archangels simultaneously attacked their foe with their strongest moves Tornado and Ocean. The attack also sent the demon into a separate space called God’s Realm where the Archangels unleash their ultimate attack called Enlil’s Divine Retribution with the intention of destroying their foe at the cellular level.
Sariel and Tarmiel go back to Elizabeth after dealing with their enemy. What surprises everyone is that Estarossa arrives a few minutes later with all of his injuries fully healed. Even Hawk is stupefied when he gauged the demon’s combat class to be 88,000.
But something is off with Estarossa as he seems to behave like a child. He attacks Tarmiel while preventing the latter’s liquefying ability. Sariel surrounds himself with his Tornado as a shield against the demon but it is broken with ease.
Sariel attacks him with Piercing Scythe Wind with tears Estarossa’s body in half. However, he quickly recovered before receiving Tarmiel’s Drilling Water Column attack, which created a hole in his body. He heals this massive injury with ease as well.
The demon than starts to absorb Monspeet’s commandment. After doing so, he introduces himself as Meliodas to everyone’s surprise.

Derieri will tell that Elizabeth that something seems to be wrong with Estarossa. “Monspeet told me that if anybody other than Meliodas or Zeldris took in other took in commandments other than their own would be destroyed,” she will say. At this point, Estarossa already absorbed both Monspeet's and Galland’s Commandments.
While Estarossa might be mentally unstable after absorbing the Commandments, the act will also make him very powerful. None of the Seven Deadly Sins members will be able to stop him. Even the two Archangels, Sariel and Tarmiel, will not be a match against the demon.
Estarossa will threaten to kill everyone but Elizabeth will object. To avoid more bloodshed, she willingly go with Estarossa in “The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods” episode 24.
