“The Masked Singer” has yet to reveal the identity of the eight remaining contestants. Clues have been given but considering the previous reveals, it is still anybody’s guess. Now, check out some of the interesting theories about the possible personalities underneath the Lion, Peacock, and Unicorn costumes.
“The Masked Singer” host Nick Cannon recently weighed in on who the Lion could be. “This person, if you even notice, they use The Lion the most in the promos,” Cannon told ET. “It looks like it's the most expensive costume. So whoever is underneath there must be someone really important. [They] must be really heavy in the star power department."
The Lion was dubbed a “Hollywood royalty” in an earlier episode of “The Masked Singer.” This could mean that she has a well-established singing career or that she could be from a family of popular Hollywood stars. Various reports and fan theories are betting on Rumer Willis as the Lion singer.
“The Masked Singer” previously dropped an interesting clue that supports the Willis theory. The Lion was shown reading a publication named “The Hailey Times.” A quick Google search shows it is not a real newspaper but the keyword “Hailey” appeared twice and was quite emphasized in the clue. E! News suggests that it could be referring to Hailey, Idaho where Willis was born.
Meanwhile, the Peacock on “The Masked Singer” revealed he first entered the entertainment business at the age of 5. He has been linked to Las Vegas for various reasons like his flashy costumes and holding a deck of cards in one of the clues.
Fans later suggested that the Peacock could be Donny Osmond of the ‘70s show “Donny & Marie.” The theories further held up when Marie Osmond seemingly confirmed that her brother is, indeed, part of “The Masked Singer.” When the hosts of Access Hollywood pressed Marie for answers, she responded that the show is giving away to easy clues.
As for the Unicorn on “The Masked Singer,” there are varying theories. The first clues dropped include being born in Beverly Hills and having been surrounded with people who discouraged her from pursuing a music career. This led to fans thinking the Unicorn is Tori Spelling.
However, when the second set of clues were dropped, the name of Denise Richards popped up as another possible singer in the Unicorn costume. She mentioned losing her confidence for years because she lost her “sheen.” Some viewers and panelists associated that word to actor Charlie Sheen who was married to Richards from 2002 to 2006. More clues await in “The Masked Singer” episode 6 airing on Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 9 p.m. ET on FOX.
