At this point, the future of “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2 is still uncertain. While many fans would like to see the story of siblings Tatsuya Shiba and Miyuki Shiba in a TV series format, no plans about it have been announced yet. But if ever the show will be renewed, fans might have to be more patient.
There were speculations that “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2 would premiere in 2019 since it is now close to five years since the first installment ended. However, with the fall season almost here and no official announcement released the chances to see new episodes in 2019 is dwindling.
‘The Irregular At Magic High School’ season 2 renewed or canceled?
Over the years, fans may have lost hope of seeing a new anime installment. But several factors could be indicating there is still chance for “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2 to happen.
The same title novel series where it is based is still active with the latest volume released last June. In 2017, “The Irregular At Magic High School The Movie: The Girl Who Call the Stars” premiered in Japan and acquired 500 million yen in the box office. Its plot was also based on one of the light novel installments meaning that it ties in with the anime series timeline and the storyline for “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2.
Another factor being considered in renewing an anime series are Blu-ray disc sales. The first season’s collection reportedly sold 13,290 copies in 2014 just after 10 weeks of being released. That magnitude of support is no doubt enough to make “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2. Unfortunately, no announcement has been made about it yet.
‘The Irregular At Magic High School’ season 2 spoilers: What to expect
Considering the light novel stories covered in the 2017 movie, fans can expect Tatsuya and Miyuki entering their second year in school at the start of “The Irregular At Magic High School” season 2. The anime series would also feature the changes in the academy’s policies, thanks to Tatsuya’s previous victories.
