FREMONT, Ohio, Oct. 11, 2017 -- The Fremont Company, producers of Frank’s Kraut and Mississippi BBQ Sauce, has pledged to provide 20,000 meals to food banks in Rockford, Fremont and Willoughby, Ohio through their recently launched Fremont Cares program. The program provides food and manpower through volunteer support, provided by Fremont personnel, and was launched in August 2017.
“Fremont Cares is designed around the concept that our company is an integral part of the communities where our factories are located, and we are charged with giving back to the areas that have supported us for generations,” says Dave Stark, Fremont’s Vice President of Human Resources.
The program is being conducted in association with Feeding America, a nonprofit nationwide network of more than 200 food banks that feed more than 46 million people through food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, and other community-based agencies.
