“The Elder Scrolls 6” is one of the highly anticipated video games from Bethesda Softworks. Details, especially about its release date, have been scarce but there are predictions that it could come out before 2019 ends.

Murmurs about “The Elder Scrolls 6” have started circulating online more than two years ago after developers confirmed that it is in the pipeline. But people from Bethesda has been quite honest since 2016 that fans will have to wait for a long time before seeing the full version of the game.

“[‘Elder Scrolls’ 6 is] kind of like the elephant in the room, always, when we talk about anything. And you know, I think it's good in these moments to tell our fans yes, of course we are [working on it] - it's something we love - but it is... you know, I have to be careful what I say, it's a very long way off,” Bethesda’s Todd Howard previously told IGN.

Earlier this year, Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter predicted that the wait for “The Elder Scrolls 6” could be over this year. Pachter said (via GamesIndustry.biz) that the underwhelming reception of “Fallout 76” makes the release of “The Elder Scrolls 6” possible in 2019.

Meanwhile, there are also several indications that Bethesda has made huge progress in the development of “The Elder Scrolls 6.” In E3 2018, the video game company did not only spoke about the upcoming game, but they also treated fans with a 30-second announcement trailer. While the video does not show any gameplay or plot detail, its mere existence somehow ensures fans that more teasers are coming in the major gaming trade shows this year.

The entire “The Elder Scrolls” franchise is popular for its open-world gameplay as well as its fantasy plot. The ending of “The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” showed that the Empire was spiraling while Aldmeri Dominion gains more power. For this reason, there are speculations that “The Elder Scrolls 6” could cover a timeline where the Empire has ultimately fallen and it is up to the players to revive its glory.
