“The Dragon Prince” season 3 panel was at the recent New York Comic Con, so fans learned many new details about the animation. Show creators Aaron Ehasz and Justin Richmond, along with writer Neil Mukhopadhyay were also at the event, and they all shared bits of spoilers for the anticipated series.
Firstly, it was revealed that “The Dragon Prince” season 3 will only have nine episodes, but they promised that it will be an exciting chapter. It will pick up from the second installment’s finale that aired in February so its viewers may already have some idea about what will happen next.
Spoilers for the next chapters
“The Dragon Prince” season 3 will continue the story where Xadia created a world where humans co-exist with elves, dragons, and dark magic. The problem is that there is a great division between humans and magical beings, and as a consequence, they became rivals.
The world’s only hope to be saved from destruction lies in the hands of two royal siblings named Prince Callum voiced by Jack DeSena and the crown prince Erzan voiced by Sasha Rojen. With the assistance of a teenage assassin elf, they discovered the stolen egg of the Dragon Prince in the castle.
As per Slash Film, the princes and the elf set aside their differences to return the stolen baby dragon prince, Zym, to the Queen Dragon while it was hatching. Season 2 ended with Callum, Rayla, and Zym traveling to Xadia while Prince Ezran returns to his kingdom of Katolis so he can become king after the death of his father.
The budding new enemy
Upon Prince Ezran’s crowning as the new king, the disloyal and traitor court magician Lord Viren (Jason Simpson) was arrested. However, the villain was able to contact a mysterious character which was revealed to be an elf identified as Araavos (Erik Todd Dellums), so the darkness that the was spreading in the kingdom may still remain, proving that this new arrival is a lethal enemy as well.
Release date
It was announced that “The Dragon Prince” is set to arrive on Nov. 22. The date was disclosed by Ehasz and Richmond at the NYCC earlier this month, Polygon reported.
