“The Blacklist” season 6 is anticipated because fans will finally get answers to some burning questions brought about by the fifth installment’s finale. It was already revealed that Raymond Reddington already died a long time ago, so who is the Red who is currently helping the FBI capture some of the most wanted criminals?
“The Blacklist” season 6 will definitely divulge the truth, and of course, there will be more plot twists as the real identity of Red (James Spader) slowly comes to light. Elizabeth “Liz” Keen (Meghan Boone) is expected to be the one to solve the mystery surrounding her father and the imposter.
The investigation will not be easy in “The Blacklist” season 6 and as Liz becomes more aggressive, it was hinted that her bad side will emerge. According to the show’s creator, Jon Bokenkamp, “Elizabeth Keen has been acquiring over the past five years, not only from Reddington, who she certainly has been influenced by and learned from, but also from Tom Keen, her husband who was also not only an impostor but a spy.”
He went on to say that what Liz learned from her husband and father will greatly influence how she handles the truth and what she does to move forward. This means that since the FBI agent has the blood of a criminal running in her veins, she could use her bad side to attain her goals, and one of them is finding out more about the imposter and reveal who he really is.
Jon Bokenkamp further told Entertainment Tonight that while investigating Red, more people will be involved and Liz will become stronger in the process as she goes all out in “The Blacklist” season 6.
“Looking at every possible angle and trying to figure out the best, most clever way forward,” the show creator said. “To the extent that that involves Jennifer, to the extent that that involves the task force and what they might know and how much uses and bends the law to get what she needs, she's in a position to become a strong and formidable character.”
“The Blacklist” season 6 will definitely be an exciting installment as truths will be exposed one by one. And with what Bokenkamp has shared so far, it can be assumed that Liz’s dark side will help her figure out who the fake Red is.
“The Blacklist” season 6 has no release date yet but as suggested by TV Guide, it will be out sometime in January 2019.
