“The Blacklist” season 6 already has most of the information a fan needs to start the waiting game for the show's return on air out in public already. But there is one important thing that NBC has yet to reveal for fans waiting in anticipation: the season premiere's exact broadcast date.
Fans already know that “The Blacklist” season 6 is a full season order, with 22 episodes ready to continue the story of Red Reddington (James Spader) and Elizabeth Keen's (Megan Boone) mental chess play. While fans had to live with the simple fact that 22 episodes have been ordered after season 5's conclusion for so long without a premiere date, the show's future broadcast date is a little bit clearer as the end of the year approaches.
More recently, information about “The Blacklist” season 6 and its broadcast schedule was released. Fans can expect the show to return on air sometime in January 2019 rather than having to wait until May of 2019 – which was the usual start of the broadcast period of previous “The Blacklist” seasons. Fans can now also catch the upcoming installment during a different broadcast schedule, with “The Blacklist” season 6 scheduled to broadcast on Fridays.
CarterMatt recently predicted that fans will have a clearer picture of “The Blacklist” season 6 and its premiere date when information about “Midnight, Texas's” own season 2 wrap-up is revealed. The publication points out that if the NBC supernatural drama wraps up by December 2018, fans can hopefully expect “The Blacklist” season 6 to replace it by the first week of January 2019.
Fans looking forward to understanding more about Red Reddington's secret schemes only need to wait until January 2019 for “The Blacklist” season 6. Hopefully, NBC releases the exact official season premiere date sometime before the end of 2018.
