‘The 100’ actress Marie Avgeropoulos revealed how events may play out for her character in the incoming season 4. She plays Octavia, a feisty member of the 100. Meanwhile, Isiah Washington talked about how his character Jaha will try to redeem himself.
According to Melty, season 3’s two-part finale saw Octavia stab Pike (Michael Beach) to death as revenge for what he did to Lincoln (Ricky Whittle). Pike shot Lincoln after the latter surrendered to save his fellow grounders from execution.
Avgeropoulos revealed that things will not get any better for her character in the incoming season saying that the murder will lead to serious repercussions for the others. She said, "[Killing Pike] was something that she really had to think through but couldn't help doing. It will affect the rest of the group, and the 100, and how they survive."
She added, "Next season you're going to see Octavia take an even darker turn into the depths of her despair and she makes some interesting choices then too. Octavia is going to be a double-edged sword next season."
Meanwhile, Isiah Washington also talked about his character’s possible means of redeeming himself for season 4. Washington plays Thelonious Jaha, an ex-chancellor of the council that governed the Ark who became the human commander of ALIE. According to International Business Times, Jaha has been cast aside since he was the one responsible for bringing ALIE to Arkadia.
Washington said, "There's going to be a lot of roads of repair for Jaha's character. It's going to be interesting to see [what] the writers come with to hopefully get him somewhere because you'll see after [the finale] he takes a pretty hard fall. He's got a lot of 'explaining to do.”
He added that Jaha should not be discounted just yet. He explained, "This is a man who sent the Ark down, so his heart is in the right place. We just really have to figure out where his soul is. I don't want to use words like 'redemption' or 'redeeming' because all of our characters ebb and flow. I'm just interested in seeing what can he possibly do to get a following now?”
‘The 100’ is a post-apocalyptic drama loosely based on the book authored by Kass Morgan. The series premiered on The CW in March 2014 and has been renewed for a fourth season. The official date of broadcast for season 4 is yet to be confirmed.
