Rumors of a second “Tekken 7” DLC season pass are being churned out on the internet after a Japanese gaming schedule manager site, Seesawiki, posted about an upcoming “Tekken 7” release on Sept. 6.
Avoiding the Puddle has reported that the expected “Tekken 7” version to be released was tagged as a "Welcome Price!" product. “Welcome Price!” is usually a tag for a discounted version of a game in Japan. This would most likely include the currently available DLC through the first season pass. as well as a potential second season pass for 2018.
While there has been no formal announcement for a second season pass for “Tekken 7” DLC, a tweet from Renka Schedule seems to corroborate the rumor that the “Welcome Price!” bundle of Tekken 7 will include discounted tickets for the first and second season passes. According to the post, the “Welcome Price!” Bundle is valued at 4320 yen ($38.92) while the season passes for the “Tekken 7” DLC will be discounted by 300 yen ($2.70)
Much of the speculation is fueled by the recent DLC pack that was released for “Tekken 7” for free last May 31. Also causing the rumor is “Tekken 7's” game director and chief producer Katsuhiro Harada's announcement at Combo Breaker 2018 last May that the “Tekken” team is obviously hiding things from its fans. As of the present, the video on Twitch has been muted due to copyright content concerns.
There has yet to be any official response from the “Tekken 7” camp on the validity of these rumors about the “Tekken 7” DLC. Also, should the rumors be true, information that has been found may only be true for the Japan market. There is no assurance that the "Tekken 7" “Welcome Price!” bundle will be available in other regions aside from Japan upon release.
