It has been six years since Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes announced they're officially separated. There have been tons of rumors related to the reasons for their separation. Despite the sad ending of the Hollywood couple, it doesn't mean, Tom isn't allowed to see his daughter Suri Cruise.
"Mission: Impossible Fallout" actor has been reported not seeing his daughter to Holmes, Suri Cruise since they were separated in 2012. Many people speculated that Tom has never seen his daughter because he never had any photos with Suri. The last time he was seen in public with his daughter was in 2013, when she was seven.
Suri Cruise is now 12. She has been often photographed at her mother Holmes’ side in New York where they now live.
What's stopping Tom Cruise to see Suri Cruise? According to US Weekly, Tom is allowed to see Suri Cruise up to 10 days a month. However, he hasn’t seen her “in years” because of his religion.
“Every person is allowed to see their child if they wanted to,” a source told the magazine. “He chooses not to because she is not a Scientologist,” the source added.
The "Dawson’s Creek" actress was rumored to have primary custody of Suri Cruise in her divorce agreement with her ex-husband. An ex-Scientologist Leah Remini claims Holmes isn’t allowed to eat with her because Holmes may lose custody of Suri. Her claims were denied by the church.
Since splitting from Tom, Suri Cruise's mom is now dating actor Jamie Foxx. Amid the rumors they were dating, the couple soon went public with their relationship in 2017.
The estranged couple welcomed daughter Suri Cruise in April 2006. They tied the knot in a lavish Italian ceremony.
Suri Cruise's father was previously married to Nicole Kidman from 1990 to 2001. They adopted two children: Isabella, now 25, and Connor, now 23. Before his marriage to Kidman, he was wed to Mimi Rogers from 1987 to 1990.
Speaking Nicole Kidman, she and Holmes were reportedly distancing themselves from Suri Cruise's dad.
"Katie and Nicole have moved on from their time with Tom and are leading their own lives outside of the church," Tony Ortega, former editor in chief of The Village Voice and a critic of Scientology, told Us Weekly.
