With the Archangel Michael (Christian Keyes in season 13) no longer possessing Dean (Jensen Ackles), the Winchester Brothers are finally back together, but things may not be what they seem. According to the official synopsis of “Supernatural” Season 14 Episode 3, Sam (Jared Padalecki) is going to ask Jody Mills (Kim Rhodes) to help him find out what happened to Dean while Michael possessed him, and it seems the sheriff may already be looking into that case.
Like Sam, fans are probably wondering why Michael left Dean’s body in the previous episode. It came somewhat as a surprise because a lot of viewers thought the archangel from the Apocalypse World wasn’t going to let him go that easily. Did something happen to make him leave? Will it be explained in “Supernatural” Season 14 Episode 3?
Executive producer Eugenie Ross-Leming did tell TVLine that Michael is not the primary villain in “Supernatural” Season 14. If he’s not, who is? Ross-Leming also said Dean should be able to cover and be his old self again once he is free of Michael. However, he teased that something else is going to happen to Dean and it will take a toll on him.
“Dean’s been contaminated by Cain. He’s a tough guy. His body’s sort of accumulated a lot of, I think, antibodies against evil, so he’ll be OK. He knows how to handle himself, even though he’s been altered. But there is a little bit of a surprise, in terms of this semi-possession, which I can’t tell you about. There’s a little bit of a twist,” Ross-Leming said during The CW’s fall launch event. “There’s something else that’s going to happen that will take a bigger toll on Dean, and he has to pay attention to that,” he added.
Titled “The Scar,” “Supernatural” Season 14 Episode 3 will also feature Castiel (Misha Collins) as he continues to take Jack (Alexander Calvert) under his wings. Apparently, Jack is going to surprise himself when a life is on the line. Does that mean he is getting his power back? Find out when the episode airs on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
