“Stranger Things” season 4 has been renewed and Netflix confirmed this in September 2019. The streaming site via the show’s official Twitter account uploaded a short clip announcing the return of the sci-fi drama for the fourth installment.
The video’s tagline showed the words “We’re not in Hawkins anymore” and although there could be some ideas, it is not certain what this exactly means. Perhaps, it is saying that the mysteries will continue in another place where Joyce and her family moved?
Hopper is alive
Express reported that many fans find Hopper’s (David Harbour) death devastating and just like Eleven, they are heartbroken that he was gone when they finally managed to close the entrance to the Upside Down. he should have been there, happy with their success but he did not come out of the building when everyone else has made it out with not much injury.
It can be recalled that when the machine had gone haywire and exploded due to the power it emanated, Hopper was still inside the enclosure so it was immediately assumed that the sheriff has died. But some fans don’t simply accept this and they are now saying that in “Stranger Things” season 4, Hopper is alive after dissecting the circumstances and incidents up to the time they have arrived in the mall.
Evidence suggesting Hopper did not die
One of the details that fans pointed out is the fact that the same machine already exploded before and some of the scientists have died in the incident. They said that the aftermath of the explosion showed blood and body parts of the victims scattered around but in Hopper’s case, the machine blew up but his body was never found.
There’s not even a drop of blood in the scene thus it is difficult to ascertain if he is dead. In other words, he disappeared but there is no proof of his death. With this said, there is a high possibility that he will be back in “Stranger Things” season 4.
Release date and filming details
“Stranger Things” season 4 will reportedly start its production this month and TV Line mentioned that that shoot is expected to end in August. Given this schedule, the drama is predicted to return by the last quarter of 2020.
